:
Please can anyone tell me where I can find courses on cycle maintainance.Especialy if there is any information on courses in and around the essex area.
: Any advice would be
appreciated.

I would suggest that you contact a local bike shop. You may find that they are better placed to help you, and there are generally no specific courses run locally within
educational establishments.

The industry itself has a qualification called CyTech which is run by the Association of Cycle Traders (www.cyclesource.co.uk) which most shops send their
head mechanics on, although the course is relatively expensive and as such is generally paid for by employers. But it is more of a certificate than an educational course.

As I said,
try your local shop, they may well be looking for saturday staff, which should give you a good grounding in maintenance, even if you don't continue the job after you've learnt what you
need.
