What the Doc sayd is absolute tosh, and not suprising as it is based upon assumptions, and pretty naive assumptions at that. I have had one for 18 months and ragged it everywhere. I am 18 stone and not afraid to give a bike a good seeing to on the downhills. I have also used it for the 30 mile cylcle trip to and from work. Not ideal, but no full suspension bike would ever be ideal for that!
The only down side was the cheap pedals which smashed on a rock pretty soon after I got it. But that just goes to prove that I did thrash it. My conclusion? Why pay mega money for a bike that has parts that cost more than a bike which will give everything an amateur would need?
