Looking for some advice on a new touring bike.

I'm planning a trip around spain this summer and have been researching a few options. I've found a few mountain bikes that shouldn't be too uncomfortable when dealing with any long road stretches. But would be grateful for your opinions.

I was thinking of going for either the Trek 4300 bike: http://www.rutlandcycling.com/43875/Trek-4300-Hardtail-Mountain-Bike---2013.html

OR

The Giant Revel: http://www.rutlandcycling.com/43151/Giant-Revel-29er-0-Hardtail-Mountain-Bike---2013.html

They're around the same price but I'm just wondering which one would be most comfortable when combined with mountain/road terrain. I'm hoping to use the bike when I'm back in the UK for some trail riding hence the choice of mountain bikes not hybrid.

Any thoughts would be most welcome.

Thanks,

Ben
