Strange I have not visited this site for a long time and when I do, I read something that interests me.
Five years ago aged 75 I bought a BSO it cost 90 pounds.
I have clocked about 2 thousand miles on it with very little trouble.
My son 50 had a bit of a scare concerning his health decided to get healthy took to cycling did well and last Saturday he and I had a cycle ride together.
I had been thinking of getting another bike for a while and seeing my son attain my speed with very much less effort that made up my mind.
So yesterday At 80 years of age,off to my local Decathlon,9 miles away.Purchased the btwin 5, had it set up in the store (free) brought it home in the car.
In the afternoon I went for a spin of 6/7 miles just to get back to drop bars as my BSO had straits.
Enjoyed the ride but I must change saddles asI have a Brookes 51 saddle on my BSO but the saddle on the new bike is to me at my age old to unforgiving, although it might ease off in time.
So to all people of all ages get a bike if only to get fit a BSO will do if treated right and not expected
to perform like a bike costing a lot more.
