Thanks for the reply, i have a Claud Butler Urban 200. The reason i installed the suspension seat post is because i have a back problem which is aggravated if the going gets a bit rough. Mainly paths, trail riding, road, so wanted to smooth the bumps but don't want front suspension as too heavy and to be honest my riding isn't that severe that it is required. Just wanted some sort of shock absorption at the front, that's why i asked if i could insert a rubber sleeve between the bars and clamp.

Mountain bikes don't have the right sort of gearing for the road and make my back and neck ache because of the steep incline between seat and bars. I have found this bike to be a better option, more roomy, just wanted to improve the ride a bit...
