Hi Murray...
It's actually £35 entrance fee now and the £24 is transport costs but wasn't sure if that £24 was for both ways.
I understand what you're saying about the cost though, with road closures, marshaling, rest stops... I guess it all adds up.

I seem to be averaging 11 mph at the moment, i'm also pretty relieved you said 3 mph uphill as i'm almost dropping to that on some of the steepest hills! That is indeed a strange set up with the gears you have there Murray, never seen that before, but then you are probably a lot more experienced than me with a well honed knowledge of these sort of things.

I can say one thing for sure, i won't be cycling back to London the next day, that's hardcore!

Incidentally, my parents used to ride a Tandem years ago with sidecar to go camping, i can only imagine the weight of that thing! I think my Brother and Sister in the side car had the easiest time...

Right i'm of out for a ride, the Sun's out at last!
