Anna, can I suggest that you look at the Pashley range. Similar type of bike, my wife has a Princess. Heavy, built like a tank but my wife thinks it is great. The downside is, it only has 3 gears. She bought it new last year, it cost about £550 if my (ageing) memory serves me well.
