Stefan,

What you need are tyres marked 26x1.5 or 26x1.75. You can find these in a variety of treads. Look for something which is not "knobbly". You can get them as slicks (i.e. smooth with no tread) but be a bit wary since they don't have a lot of grip in the wet!

Finally what you don't need are tyres marked 26x 1 3/8 or any other size expressed as a fraction. They are the old imperial standard and won't fit.
